Hopefully the website is intuitive enough that you are able to navigate it easily and find some of the features, such as how-to videos and carving tips & tricks enjoyable. Between the links on the Home Page and drop down menus on every other page (accessed by hovering over the MENU button on the top right of the page) you can access anything on the site. There is never a reason to have to back track to a previous page.
We also have a mobile website which you can access on your SmartPhone with the same URL: www.nawawoodcarvers.org. The mobile site is an abbreviated version of this site though you can access the full site by clicking on the bottom of any page while on your SmartPhone.
TIP: You can access a calendar of all NAWA classes, meetings, and events of interest to club members by clicking on the Event Calendar ribbon banner on the Home Page or on the EVENT CALENDAR link on the large drop-down menu on any other page. You can subscribe to the Event Calendar at the top of the calendar page by entering your email. After that you will automatically be informed if there are any changes made in the schedules.
We welcome feedback, pictures, and information about events or classes that might be of interest to club members. Please email me at: Webmaster@NAWAWoodcarvers.org .
Our annual woodcarving show and sale is held each year at the Jaycee Community Building in South Huntsville. Admission is free and parking is plentiful and also free.
OUR NEXT SHOW WILL BE HELD NOVEMBER 10th and 11th, 2018.
We have an active Facebook page maintained by Diana Hofmann. Events of immediate interest such as cancellations are often posted on Facebook. Go there to see projects or events of interest to Club Members.
NAWA Woodcarvers T-Shirts are still available at a true bargain price of $10.00. Contact Debbie if you are interested.
There are also club patches which can be attached to jackets or caps. Please see Debbie for availability and price.
OAK PARK BAPTIST CHURCH
2105 CLOYS AVENUE, NE
HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA 35811
After many happy years at Mountain View Baptist Church, for which we are most grateful, we are moving to a new home.
Oak Park Baptist Church invited us to use their facility in the future, so beginning Tuesday, September 27, 2016, we began holding our Club activities, including our bi-weekly Open Carving Sessions, our monthly meetings, our Christmas Dinner, and our next year's classes at Oak Park Baptist.
Among its many benefits is the availability of flat parking, without steps or hills to climb. While you can enter the building from either side, in order to reach the flat parking, continue on the driveway all the way around the building to the East side. We are most grateful to Oak Park Baptist for sharing their facility with us.
